Community Photo Access has finally made its transition and we are now located in the same building, offering organizations and artists in the community a venue for their work via the new Freedom Trails Gallery ™, which is now next door to Valley Frame Works. It has taken a allot of work to relocated to the lower level of the same building, since setting up the gallery and mac stations/studio required renovations and relocation of our equipment, which understandably is very fragile. Check out our new website and updated information at: www.amherstvalleyframeworks.com The new Freedom Trails Gallery opens this Thursday during Amherst Arts Walk, December 1,  from 5-8pm; all are invited to see how we are “working outside the frame”, providing organizations in our community the opportunity to gain much needed funds from sales of prints that will go directly back to those organizations when you purchase the mat/frame from Valley Frame Works.

The debut exhibition includes photographs and Giclee reproductions made by Outsider artist Ed Kwaitkowski (representing Stavros Center for Independent Living, Amherst), Kupanda International Foundation featuring photographs taken by children that are residents of an orphanage in Machakos, Kenya, and Friends of Children Inc. will showcase the photographs taken by foster children aging out of the foster care system in Massachusetts-A selection of photographs from the original exhibition, titled “Seeing their Voices”(tm), will travel to the State Capital in Boston, this winter.

When searching for more information on CPA, visit the link or go to: amherstvalleyframeworks, which will contain updated information and services previously provided by Community Photo Access. This site will become a depository of images and works of art available for purchase or free, when framed at Valley Frame Works.
